"extension not fully loaded"

I'm using (or trying to use) text blaze on an Acer Spin 13 Chromebook running OS 80 beta. Text Blaze is not working at all; a click on it's icon reveals a message informing me that the extension is not fully loaded and to wait a few seconds. Waiting does not help. Re-installation did not help.

text Blaze is working fine on my other computer--also a Chromebook (Pixelbook running 79 stable).

I also tested Chrome 80 beta for Linux: no issues.

I'm thinking this must be a Chrome-OS-80-specific issue. And if that turns out to be true, my next step is to "power wash" back to 79 stable on my Acer Spin. If someone knows of a fix, I'd sure appreciate it.

We discussed this on the phone, but answering other people who discover this thread.

This issue can be addressed by moving to the stable Chrome 79, or going to chrome://flags/#out-of-blink-cors and disabling the Out of Blink CORS flag.
