Stop snippet with delay in typing the sequence

Hi
is there any way to stop snippet executing by slight delay in pressing letters ?
eg after 2 first characters of 4 there is 2-3 sec delay and it wont continue even characters are from snippet

Do I understand correctly, that you have a snippet shortcut like "email" and sometimes you want to type the word "email" without the snippet triggering?

If my understanding is correct, I would recommend one of two things:

  1. Preface your snippet with a special character that you don't type normally. For example, make it "/email". Then you won't ever need to type that in regular text of the shortcut and when you do, you will be sure you want the snippet to trigger.
  2. If the shortcut must be something you may sometimes type normally, you can type a few characters, then type the left-arrow, then right-arrow keys, then type the rest. In that case the snippet won't trigger.
