Adding to form menu, ok to delete back slash?

I created a simple form menu and I want to add more items to it. Unfortunately, I see there is no way to re-open the menu. How do I had items to it? There are also back slashes at random locations. Is it ok to delete those?

Thank you for the fast reply! I figured it out. The backslash is created when there are extra spaces and I understand how to add now.
