I used / / (but without the space) in front of ALL my snippets, to differentiate the characters from any other text for years. I have an extensive collection of snippets and now they are ALL conflicted, every one of them! What happened? I haven't used Text Blaze for a while, but am really bummed. What happened? When did it change? It's like every snippet must have a different letter in the alphabet for its first letter! What happens when we run out of alphabet?
I thought changing the trigger to anywhere fixed that but it didn't.
Hi @Linda_L_Luckett, welcome to the forum.
The conflict you're experiencing is likely caused by having a snippet with just //
as its shortcut, which would interfere with all your other snippets that start with //
.
Here's how to troubleshoot this:
- Go to your Text Blaze dashboard
- Use the search box at the top to search for
//
- If you find your first search result, a snippet with that shortcut, just
//
, change its shortcut to something else.
This should resolve the conflicts for all your other snippets. If you don't find a snippet with just //
as the shortcut, or if the issue persists after making changes, please let me know and we can dig deeper into what might be causing this problem.
Thank you so much! That never occurred to me and I was really baffled because I've relied on this app for so long, (much longer than this account reflects) and it wasn't making any sense, lol! Thank you for the reply!
