After explaining the procedure and discussing risks including but not limited to infection, bleeding, injury to underlying tissues, and discussing possible benefits verbal understanding was expressed. The injection was covered with a sterile bandage. Education regarding possible complications to be aware and when to alert staff was given. Education regarding physical activity was also given.
