The most economical way forward at an increased dose is using click counting. I also recommended click counting as an approach to help find the right dose between standard doses for people who need to work up to standard doses or fall in between standard doses.
Using the pen in this manner is not approved by the manufacturer, thus, it is off-label. After first use, the pen is stable for 8 weeks at room temperature. You can safely use up to 8 doses from one pen.
Because each pen will last more than 4 injections/weeks, you may need to purchase additional 4mm 32g needle tips from the pharmacy or online retailers like Amazon.
