Hi,
I have some important information regarding your 8th Grade State Science Assessment (SSA). Please save this email for reference!
You've accomplished amazing things this semester, and I’m confident you’ll continue to shine. The SSA is a comprehensive test covering topics from 6th, 7th, and 8th grade science. To help you prepare, I’ve provided several resources:
- SSA review cheat sheet: A detailed list of topics covered on the SSA.
- Science Boot for Camps: Every Wednesday at 2:15 PM — a great opportunity for extra help.
- SSA review slides : Includes practice questions to test your knowledge.
- Optional Resource: Everything You Need to Know to Ace Science – Check it out here.
- Your Diagnostic Nearpod Results: {cursor}
- Aim for 60% or Above: In previous years, students who averaged above 60% on their diagnostic tests performed well on the SSA. If your score is below that, don’t worry — we have plenty of support to get you where you need to be!
- Understand Your Benchmarks: Each question lists the assessed benchmark (e.g., SC.6.E.7.4 for 6th grade Earth Science). Identify areas for review using your SSA Cheat Sheet, which includes helpful links to tutorials.
- Target Your Weak Spots: If you notice a weaker subject like Life Science, consider attending the related Boot Camp. Consistent effort and preparation will help you exceed your predictions.
You can access all SSA-related resources anytime using this link: SSA .
I believe in you, and I’m here to support your success!
