Custom highlights in dropdown options

Tangentially related, so putting it here! Hoping it helps the idea gain traction.

My use case involves building guided review templates with multiple dropdowns, toggles, validation messages, and conditional sections. It would be really helpful if snippet creators could customize the appearance of specific form fields or selected values, such as:

  • changing dropdown/input background colors
  • color-coding specific dropdown values
  • adding custom styling to conditional fields
  • visually distinguishing high-priority selections without changing the final inserted text

For example, I’d like a dropdown option like “Unknown” to appear blue or visually distinct in the Text Blaze form UI, while still inserting the plain value “Unknown” into the final output.

This would make complex forms easier to scan and reduce reviewer errors, especially in workflows where certain selections require extra attention.

The current topic is primarily about removing the yellow highlight of form fields. It looks like your request is primarily about (1) color-coding each option in a menu differently, and (2) styling previewed and inserted text differently.
