Is there a way for the snippet to activate after you hit the spacebar instead of automatically with entering the shortcut? I use Epic for EMR and the smart phases activate after you hit the space bar for a new word. Is that possible to use here?

Welcome to Text Blaze community.
You can try "Started and ended by Word Break: Shortcuts are triggered when they are preceded and ended by a word break (like a space)" setting.
To change this setting, please go to the folder your snippet is in, and you would locate "Snippets trigger" setting at the bottom right corner. Please change this.
