Desktop Apps Graduating from Beta
Text Blaze has Macintosh and Windows desktop apps you can use whenever you want to use Text Blaze outside the browser. They allow you to use Text Blaze within native applications like Microsoft Word, Outlook, or the desktop version of Slack.
Both the Mac and Windows applications have now graduated from Beta! To take them for a spin, you can get the Macintosh app here, and the Windows app here.
Resize the Sidebar When Previewing
You can now resize the right sidebar when previewing a snippet in the Blaze dashboard. If your snippet takes up a lot of space this makes it easy to expand it. To do so just click and drag on the drag hand that is to the right of the snippet preview.
AI Blaze Highlights
Claude Sonnet 4
We've added support for Claude Sonnet 4 in AI Blaze! Sonnet 4 offers significant improvements over the prior Sonnet 3.7 model we used. Here you can see a summary of its performance compared to other models in this benchmark from Anthropic:
Continued Context Improvements
AI Blaze can automatically improve your requests by using the page you are on as context for the AI. We have continued to improve this capability leading to better context and better responses. Specifically:
- We've improved the Markdown conversion process for HTML pages.
- We've added improved support for Google Docs pages. Google Docs renders its pages as images, we can now directly access the underlying text and use it to improve your AI Blaze requests.
Data Blaze Highlights
Control Relationships in Link to Table Fields
You now have the flexibility to allow just a single linked record in your “Link to table” fields. This gives you more control over your data structure — perfect for one-to-one relationships or when you want to keep things simple.
Default Values for More Field Types
You can now set the default value for Boolean, Number, Single select, and Multiple select fields. Whether it’s a default status, toggle, or category; your tables now start off smarter with less manual input.
