I have been in the process of migrating my Auto Hot Key to Text Blaze and one item that is really useful is the ability to create hotkeys that open applications. This is done in AHK with a Keyboard Hook. Is this something that can be done with Text Blaze. Perhaps with a complimentary installable, not unlike the installer that is prompted by the IETab Chrome extension.

By other apps you are referring to desktop apps outside Chrome? If so, that isn't possible.
We do want to launch desktop versions of TB at some point. At that time, features like this may possible.
