Open snippet pop-up in browser side panel instead?

Hi there! I frequently use one of my snippets as a sort of checklist of things to review on a webpage. So I want to see both of them side by side, rather than the snippet popping up and covering up the page. I can do this by arranging windows using a Mac app, but most of my coworkers wouldn't be this savvy. Is there any way to set a particular snippet to open in the Chrome side panel when triggered via the browser extension, rather than in a pop-up?

Hi Megan,

Right now, there is no way to make the window open up the way you are mentioning.

Though, a workaround is to trigger the snippet and manually rearrange it to appear beside your Chrome page. Here's an example that I recorded:

Though, if you do this, the pop-up window appears this way for all snippets with a pop-up window.

Thanks! Yes, the manual rearranging is what I usually do. I have keyboard shortcuts to snap my windows where I want them, so it's not too troublesome, but for coworkers who wouldn't be likely to adopt that solution, it's kind of fussy to arrange everything. A side panel would be really perfect for our use but I understand that we may be in the minority of folks using it that way.

That makes sense. I've changed this post to the feature ideas category so people in the community can vote on it if they support it.
