I have a great snippet. But one part of it needs to change course if selected to a new snippet insert - allowing that snippet insert to be used instead. Currently, if we come to the snippet link it opens the snippet but we can't use it in our document.

I don't think I understand the question.
Is sounds like you have a formtoggle or formmenu and when you select a specific option you want to conditionally show content. Is that right?
Could you explain more about what you are trying to do and the issue you are running into?
