Why does TB open a new tab each time I close the dashboard or add a new snippet. I am just starting TB (love it!) and I'm adding snippets 'on the fly' but it's opening tabs every time I am done. What can I do to prevent this from happening?

What do you mean by "adding snippets on the fly"? If you create a snippet from a selected text (highlight some text -> right-click -> Text Blaze menu -> Create snippet from selection..) then Text Blaze will open the dashboard to allow you to configure the snippet - save the snippet and add a name and a keyboard shortcut to it.
If you mean something else, can you detail the series of steps?
