Paste on Mac - no highlights

Hi, i am on outlook for Mac and when I am trying to insert my snippet, it doesn't show the spaces, the highlights I have originally created in yellow. it pastes only the values.

Hi @mb11 Welcome to the forum!

Outlook recently changed their default paste behavior to Match Destination Formatting instead of Keep Source Formatting. This is breaking the insertion of snippets containing styles like highlights.

We have steps available for how to resolve this on Windows (Bug with inserting tables via extension vs desktop app? - #5 by Ashwin_MittalTB). Sadly I'm not able to find the steps for Outlook on Mac.

We will look into and get back to you asap.

We have figured out the issue. It is due to recent default paste setting change done by Microsoft. To keep the formatting, please follow the following steps: Change your default paste setting in Outlook from Editor options. To view these options in Microsoft Outlook: In an Outlook window, click File > Options > Mail > Editor Options > Advanced. Change pasting from other programs to “Keep Source Formatting” under the Cut, copy, and paste section. [Screenshot 2024-08-14 at 8.26.43 PM]
