Our editor is pretty aggressive with converting *'s to bullet points. After it does one of these conversions though, you can undo and it will convert it back to what you had before the conversion.
+1 on this. 90% of the snippets I'm trying to port from TextExpander are in Markdown (most of my life is). I would love to be able to type without everything converting to rich text. It's really nice when that's what I want, but frequently a pain.
TextExpander has a dropdown where you can define a snippet as Plain Text, Rich Text, (or shell script, which isn't applicable… yet?). Being able to just set a snippet to plain text at the top and have it become just a plain text field without a toolbar would be very nice. Or if there was a toolbar, it would insert Markdown instead of HTML formatting, but that's probably less applicable to most people.
+1 on this feature. Moving from code snipet tools. While I love the extra features of TextBlaze I need particular snipets to be plain text rather than rich text.
Apologies if this was already asked, but I did not see it on the website anywhere.
I use the dash - for lists in my files instead of the •
When I type the dash into a snippet, it automatically changes it to the bullet and spacing changes, though control+z turns it back into a dash with spacing returning to the left (the way I actually want the list typed).
I'm interested in an option to turn on or off bullets, so when I type the dash it does not automatically turn it into a • with different spacing.
