Glad you are able to make progress with Text Blaze.
Text Blaze is more like a natural language platform, so it is not closely related to any specific programming language.
From an engineering perspective, you can read more about it from Garang's explanation here
Between Java and Python, I would say Text Blaze is more similar to Python. It borrows ideas like List Comprehensions (Text Blaze | Formula Reference) and the ternary operator syntax from Python. It's also heavily influenced by JavaScript, Excel formulas and SQL.
