Stream Deck and Text Blaze shortcut

Yes! I appreciate your time and patience. I'm looking forward to meeting with Dan on Friday to evaluate the possibility of developing a plugin that allows us to copy snippets into Stream Deck rather than inputting each snippet one character at a time.

Does Not Seem To Work with Text Blaze Forms

I created a Stream Deck Shortcut that Tabs Over to the Body of the e-mail and types out (letter by letter) "`1award". This should trigger a form, but it does nothing. However, if I type manually, then, yes, the form shows up.

Note: I am using the Desktop Version of Text Blaze.

I would appreciate any guidance on this.

Hi @vk956 Welcome to the forum!
You're on the right track. Only one change: please use System: Hotkey instead of System: Text for each letter.
Let me know if it works for you.

Thank you very much for the suggestion.

It worked!

This is a very interesting thread. I am a heavy Text Blaze and Stream Deck user and I have not had this issue. I use the 'text' option in Stream Deck to activate my snippets. Just like @JGnTX mentioned, when I am creating my button on Stream Deck, I do have do add a space somewhere in my text so that it does not activate the snippet while creating the button. However, after a few seconds, I go back and delete the space and save the button without any spaces. I wonder if the snippet shortcuts are too long. Would anyone be able to edit their shortcuts to maybe 2-3 characters and try building a button with the 'text' option to see if it works? When I jump on my work computer tomorrow, I can add some screenshots to the thread. I don't think adding a video on this thread is an option, if it is, I can do that too.

@Leslie_Casey From your post it looks like we work at the same company. Feel free to reach out to me and we can figure out what the issue might be.

Thanks for the details @EduSnip_Trailblazer2 . It's definitely possible that Stream Deck sends shorter 'text' as individual keystrokes, whereas it sends longer 'text' as a direct paste. Also it looks like they're planning to switch between the two (reddit thread). I'm not sure if it's a configurable option on the user level.

Okay, I see where the disconnect is, it has to do with the Windows version of TB. When I use my SD on Google Chrome, my snippets work perfectly as texts whether the shortcuts are short or long. However, when I use the same shortcut in a non-Chrome page so my Windows version of TB has to recognize it, nothing happens. I'm not sure if this was what was previously being spoken about and I missed it.
