We have a desktop app for both Windows and Mac apps, which allows you to use Text Blaze anywhere on your computer, not just chrome.
The extension also works on all chromium browsers such as Brave, Edge, Opera.
I guess whatever character is used and wherever it is placed you still have to monitor every keystroke.
The extension stores keystrokes locally to be able to trigger your snippets, but this information never leaves your computer and it's always erased at very short intervals.
